Cake, coffee and conversation at Mummy Social parent meet-up

Little ones enjoyed playing whilst the bigger ones (us) enjoyed the coffee and cake at the latest Twins, Tantrums and Cold Coffee ‘Mummy Social’ meet-up.

Mums (and dads) got chatting at Plymouth’s Moo Music Cafe over a coffee as part of the Mummy Social’s #SocialSeptember get together.

I’ve joined forces with Mummy Social, which is run by mum of three Josie Barron alongside blogger and author The Unmumsy Mum, and TV’s Helen Skelton, to organise the meet up in Plymouth.

It follows on from the awesome picnic in the park we did in the summer where 30 mums pitched up with their kids and a blanket and got social.

Kids are superheroes at Mummy Social meet

Children were treated to a taster session of Moo Music on Maggie Moo’s Meadow. Becoming superheroes and popping bubbles was particularly popular, and they loved playing in the soft play and with toys in the cafe whilst mums and dads were able to meet other parents.

And eat cake. Because let’s face it, that’s what we all REALLY want to do.

To be honest, I’m surprised anyone turned up with the weather being so hideous so it was lovely to meet you all!

I’m always happy to talk (I’m sure you’re not surprised), and I couldn’t survive without my mummy mates but it was also great that others were chatting to each other too.

Chance for mums to get social

The Mummy Social website was set up by Exeter-based cialis cost Josie when she was pregnant with her second child and experienced how lonely being a mum can be.

There are now thousands of members all over the UK who use it every day to help them meet new people and get out of the house. And you can now download a free app to help you find mums near you, and any socials that are going on.

#SocialSeptember has been a month-long campaign to encourage mums to be brave and get social with other local mums. And we did it! See you at the next one…
