As a homeowner, you’re probably well aware of the fact that the DIY work seems to be never ending. Once you finish one project, there’s usually another one that needs your attention. With that said, you’ll need to be equipped with all of the necessary tools to get the job done. Here are five decorating tools every homeowner needs…
This is a collaborative post
1. Measuring Tape
A decent tape measure is a must-have for any homeowner, as you’ll need it to complete your DIY projects but also if you plan on buying new furniture. You might also need a tape measure when putting paintings or photos up on the walls!
2. Paint Brushes/Rollers
One thing you won’t regret buying is a few different sizes paint brushes and rollers, so that next time you have a decorating job at hand, you should already have the main decorating tools. Be sure to clean them properly after each use so that you don’t have to buy more for the next decorating project.
3. Power Tools
According to SawsHub, power tools are another must-have from the decorating tools list, from a combi drill to a long cable reel for when your projects are just a bit out of reach.
4. Step Ladder
Chances are, as a homeowner, you’ll most certainly need a step ladder. This will come in handy when you’re painting the tops of your walls or ceilings, or even just changing a lightbulb.
5. Safety Wear
Depending on the type of decorating project you’re undertaking, you might need to wear safety wear, such as sturdy gloves or a mask so that you’re not inhaling anything toxic. No DIY project is worth compromising your health and safety, so bear this in mind before you get started.
Of course, there are countless other decorating tools that you’ll find you need as you get to work on various different projects, but you’ll be able to collect them as you go along. Eventually, you’ll have a fully stocked tool box!
