Destination 1 – Victoria and Vancouver Island

A parade in Victoria, Canada

Victoria and Vancouver Island provide many family-oriented activities. A visit to Victoria Butterfly Gardens or Juan de Fuca Provincial Park is sure to delight your children while whale-watching excursions should not be missed as orcas are abundant here.

Victoria, British Columbia’s main city, can be reached in 90 minutes via ferry from Vancouver but feels like another world altogether. Victoria remains steeped in British customs such as afternoon tea at Fairmont Empress or pints at local pubs.

Destination 2 – Canmore

Canmore in Canada

Canmore is an ideal destination to bring children, offering activities like dog sledging, tobogganing, snowshoeing, snow tubing and ice skating. Although not as busy as its neighbour Banff, Canmore still possesses its own charm – with several coffee shops and easy navigation through town.

Grassi Lakes features multiple hiking paths offering scenic views of lakes, waterfalls and mountains; an easier trail takes hikers through the lush forest while explaining its history via signs placed throughout its grounds.

Canmore offers scenic trails along the Bow River that are great for biking and trekking, including 70 kilometres of maintained paths that run parallel with it, making for ideal family outings or romantic strolls along the water’s edge.

In town, you can ice skate or watch the Canmore Eagles play. Alternatively, visit Canmore Nordic Center as your starting point and discover over 100 kilometers of trails including tough singletrack, large dirt roads ideal for novice cyclists, roller skiing paths that double as bike paths paved roller skiing paths are great family cycling activities too – with even families using roller skiing paths as bike paths!

Destination 3  – Montreal

Montreal, Canada

Montreal can only truly be described by one word – multifaceted. This bustling metropolis embodies the merging of Old and New Worlds, from 18th-century architecture to its skyline in the twenty-first century. Funky fusion restaurants now reside within old homes; English words come together with French words through rolling “rs.”

Montreal is an elegant city that oozes history. Green spaces and outdoor cafes make each summer day in town enjoyable; Montreal’s fresh produce markets boast some amazing produce! Additionally, its botanical gardens, biodome, and science museum can all provide wonderful family entertainment options.

Plus, Montreal is known for its vast cultural agenda; easily filling an entire visit up with events each day of your stay there is also no shortage of museums for both adults and children to visit here!
