With so many ghostly goings on happening in Plymouth this Halloween, your first stop needs to be the city’s Barbican.
The Batty Barbican Halloween Trail is set to be as popular as ever, with hundreds of children donning their spooky fancy dress to join in the fun.
Shops and businesses around Plymouth Barbican are taking part in the trail, to hide their batty friends either in shop windows or inside their stores.
Families can pick up a trail sheet at the Tourist Information to know where to head on the eerie adventure, but watch out for other creepy capers along the way.
Once you have spotted all the bats, return your trail sheet to the Tourist Information for a Halloween treat.
The Batty Barbican Trail runs from October 26 to November 3, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy it this half term.
More Halloween Fun Along The Waterfront
And if you want to stay on the waterfront to find more scary fun, the Royal William Yard also has some Halloween activities for families.
There will be free Autumn themed children’s crafts and pumpkin carving on Sunday October 27. The activities, which need to be booked, will take place from 10am to 2pm inside the Yard’s New Cooperage building.
It is part of Artober, Royal William Yard’s free festival of art, running from October 18 to November 3. There’s a packed programme of events taking place, with ever-changing exhibitions and opportunities to watch artists at work, learn or hone skills in workshops and contribute to installations.
Keep younger visitors busy at a pop-up children’s Art Zone during half term. It will run from 10am to 4pm every day from October 28 to November 3, and is open until 8pm on Thursdays.
And if you’ve not quite had enough spooky fun, then head to luxury cinema Everyman which is showing classics E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Nightmare Before Christmas for its Throwback films on Sundays and Tuesdays which come with a complimentary drink and popcorn.
